If you subscribe to the RSS feed, you'll see both the posts that appear at the top of this site and the posts that appear below in the Tumblr section.  In other words, you'll get all the writing and none of the other stuff (the tweets and the Flickr feed).  This isn't a grand plan of mine, just the way it works out, but I think it works out quite nicely.  Twitter and photo dumps wouldn't look nice over RSS, and I blog sparingly enough that I hope to be a polite addition to your RSS reader of choice.

Yes, tweets mentioning me are supposed to appear in the timeline below.  No, I don't like it.  No, I don't know how to fix it.  Yes, I'm already waiting for someone to embarrass me with this "feature."

Well, this is the new layout. Help me figure out if it's permanent or temporary. I welcome all comments, whether they be "This looks hideous" or "Why orange?"

So, as you may or may not notice, the address of this web site has changed to www.johnpcarroll.net. Yes, first Twitter, now the web site -- I've decided I have now been in too many situations where it was awkward to say, "Sure, check me out online at BANANA GRABBERS DOT COM."

The web address will still forward to my new site, so don't worry about stumbling onto (a) an Arrested Development fan site or (b) a porn site if you mistakenly enter the old address.

That said: I'll be happy to sell the old domain to you, Mitch Hurwitz. C'mon, you know you want to make a 5-minute Mr Banana Grabbers and His Banana Grabbers animated short to run before the Arrested Development movie!

In the next few days and weeks, I'll be changing this web site, but hopefully preserving the old blog posts in some form, as well as blogging more in the future. So, if you encounter any errors, my apologies.
